CL: Mesut Ozil Late Goal Helps Madrid Earn a 2-2 Draw Against Dortmund

A well placed Mesut Ozil's free-kick goal in the 89 minute helped nine-time European Champions Real Madrid secure a 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund at Santiago Bernabeu in their Champions League Group D clash on November 7.

Borussia Dortmund drew first blood of the night through Marco Reus with a fine half-volley in the 28 minute but Pepe equalized for Los Blancos’ with a header six minutes later. An own-goal from Arbeloa gave the visitors a 2-1 lead going into the half-time break. Los Blancos’ were unable to penetrate a resolute Dortmund defense in the second half that is until Ozil’s late free-kick.

With two games remaining, Borussia Dortmund tops Group D with 8 points while Jose’s Madrid are one point behind the German champions.
