La Liga: Barcelona’s Gerard Pique Ruled Out for 3 Weeks

Tito Vilanova has a major problem in his defense, after Captain Carles Puyol now defender Gerard Pique has been ruled out for three weeks with a foot injury.

The 25-year-old centre-back left the pitch in the 12th minute during Barcelona’s narrow 3-2 Champions League win over Spartak Moscow at Camp Nou on Sept 20, 2012 after being caught by Brazilian midfielder Romulo’s challenge.

Pique will now miss the La Liga match against Sevilla on Sept 29 and the Champions League’s trip to Benfica on Oct 3.
