US Under-Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco, J. Sanchez inaugurated the new US Commercial Service Trade Information Centre at the American Consulate in Mumbai on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012.
The new center will enable Indian companies to learn about the trade promotion resources offered by the US, an embassy spokesman said.
The US Commercial Service is a part of the US Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration (ITA), which is at the forefront of President Barack Obama's National Export Initiative.
Bilateral trade between US-India totaled $58 billion in 2011.
