CBSE to Conduct AFMC Entrance Exam From 2013

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) will conduct its last entrance test for MBBS admissions on May 6, 2012. From 2013, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and students will have to mark their preference for admission to AFMC, director-general of Armed Forces Medical Services (DG-AFMS), Lt Gen H L Kakria said.

The NEET for Under Graduate courses is a nationwide medical entrance exam that is set to replace state level medical entrance tests and national level medical entrance tests from 2013.
