Indian Railways to Extend Advance Reservation Period From March 10

Indian Railways have decided to increase the advance reservation period for booking train tickets from the existing 90 days to 120 days effective March 10, 2012. This is being done on an experimental basis, said an official.

However, there will be no change in case of certain day-time trains like the Taj Express and the Gomti Express where lower time limits for advance reservations are at present in force.

There will also be no change in case of the limit of 360 days for foreign tourists.
