Capital One Cup: Chelsea Beat Man Utd 5-4; Holders Liverpool Beaten 3-1 by Swansea

Chelsea FC got some sweet revenge back for their weekend Premier League defeat when they beat Manchester United 5-4 in another high scoring match played at Stamford Bridge on November 1 and booked a spot in the quarters of the Capital One Cup (formerly the League Cup) while reigning champs Liverpool were knocked out 3-1 by Swansea City at Anfield.

David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard, Daniel Sturridge and Ramires all found the net for the Blues’ while Ryan Giggs scored a brace and Chicharito, Nani scored one each for Red Devils.

At Anfield, thanks to goals from Chico Flores, Nathan Dyer and Jonathan de Guzman, Swansea City defeated holders Liverpool 3-1. This is Swansea first win at Anfield since 1964. Luis Suarez scored the lone goal for Liverpool.
