Ben Affleck's ‘Argo’ Tops US Box Office

Ben Affleck's espionage-thriller ‘Argo’ has topped the US Box Office with a collection of over £40 million worldwide after three weeks of it’s released. It is estimated to have made £8 million domestically in North America.

Argo, based on the real life rescue of six US diplomats from Tehran during the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis, is Ben Affleck’s third attempt wearing the director hat after directing ‘Gone Baby Gone’ (2007) and 'The Town' (2010).
