The Coimbatore Reliance Mart is spread over 45,000 sq. ft. and stocks over 20,000 products ranging from vegetables and grocery items to apparels, electronics and white goods. It also has a ready-to-eat food section and a bakery.
The store offers a customer loyalty program under which points earned could be redeemed later.
The company, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), which has a slew of retail store formats, including Reliance Super and Reliance Fresh, plans to open another Reliance Mart outlet in the State at Salem.
According to a Reliance Mart spokesman, the first Reliance Mart Store in the State was opened in Tiruchi in 2007. Salem was next on the radar and the store may be opened in about six months.
RRL has 13 retail format stores including Reliance Digital, a consumer durables and IT store, ‘iStore by Reliance Digital’, an Apple specialty store, and Reliance Jewels, a jewellery concept, apart from Reliance Fresh, Reliance Super and Reliance Mart.
