Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 149th and 150th goals for Real Madrid in a 3-0 win over Granada at Santiago Bernabeu on Sept 2, 2012 to pick up their first La Liga win of the season.
Ronaldo scored in the 26th and 54th minutes before leaving the pitch after a heavy tackle by defender Borja Gomez that cost the Granada defender a second booking. Gonzalo Higuain scored in the 76th to seal the much-needed win for the defending champions. Luka Modric made his first start for Los Blancos’ since joining from Tottenham.
The Portugal striker chose not to celebrate his goals. ‘I’m sad, when I don’t celebrate goals it’s because I’m not happy. It’s a professional thing. Real Madrid know why I’m not happy.’, Ronaldo said after the match.
Real Madrid are now ninth on La Liga table with four points from three games while Barcelona are on top with nine points.
