Rooney to Debut Euro 2012 Against Ukraine Today

Striker Wayne Rooney will make his Euro 2012 debut in England's most crucial game of the tournament against co-host Ukraine. Captain Steven Gerrard said he was delighted about the return of 26-year-old Rooney who will win his 75th cap against Ukraine and has scored 28 goals for his country.

Rooney will return to the England team on June 19, 2012 after completing his two-match suspension following his red card against Montenegro in October, and either his Manchester United team mate Danny Welbeck or Liverpool striker Andy Carroll will lose his place in the starting line-up.

France and England have four points each, Ukraine three and eliminated Sweden none.
