Sachin Tendulkar to Take Oath as RS Member on June 4

Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who was nominated to the Upper House in April, will take oath as member of Rajya Sabha on June 4, 2012.

Tendulkar, who turned 39 recently, is scheduled to take oath as member in the chamber of Chairman Hamid Ansari on June 4, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla said. Actress Rekha and industrialist Anu Aga who were also nominated to Rajya Sabha along with Tendulkar had already taken oath earlier this month.

Sachin Tendulkar is the only cricketer to accomplish the feat of scoring a hundred centuries in international cricket which includes 49 ODI and 51 Test centuries.
