Pak Tests Nuclear-Capable Hatf-VIII Missile

Pakistan test-fired its nuclear-capable cruise missile Hatf-VIII on May 31, 2012, the army said.

Hatf-VIII has a range of about 350 km and can deliver nuclear and conventional warheads with pin-point accuracy.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have congratulated the experts on the successful tests of Hatf-VIII.

It was Pakistan's second missile test this week.

On May 29, Pakistan successfully test-fired its surface-to-surface Hatf IX missile. It has a range of 60 km and can carry nuclear warheads.
