The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan opened the Confucius Institute for Chinese Language at the Zayed Campus in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa city on Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
A number of Sheikhs, diplomats and Chinese dignitaries joined the students and faculty members at the opening ceremony.
The institute, named after the great Chinese philosopher, is the latest to come to the UAE.
