Singapore to Host Joint Judicial Conference on March 3

Singapore will be hosting the second Joint Judicial Conference among the judiciaries of Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore.

The event to be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 aims to strengthen ties between the Singapore judiciary and its regional judicial counterparts.

It also allows the exchange of views on recent developments in specific areas of the law.

Key members of the judiciaries will speak on the topics "Recent Trends in Judicial Review" and "The Court's Role in the Arbitral Process."

The conference will be attended by more than 70 judges and judicial officers from the three countries.

The inaugural conference was held in 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
