American Airlines will launch daily, non-stop Boeing 757 service between Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on June 14, 2012.
The new two-class service will complement American Airlines’ three existing daily round-trip flights between LAX and Washington Dulles International Airport.
American’s schedule for the new flight will see flight AA240 departing LAX at 8 am and landing at DCA at 4 pm, local time. In the other direction, flight AA245 is timed to leave DCA at 5:10 pm and touch down at LAX at 7.40 pm, local time.
Tickets go on sale for the new service on Sunday, March 4. American will operate the route with Boeing 757-200s, each containing 22 First Class seats and 166 Main Cabin seats.
In addition, American, the first airline to launch in-flight Wi-Fi Internet service in North America, will expand its Wi-Fi offering to nearly all aircraft used to fly within the continental United States, including select 757s.
