The 17th National Youth Festival-2012 (NYF-2012) will be held for the first time in the port city of Mangalore, Karnataka from January 12 to 16, 2012.
About 5,000 youths from 35 states, Union Territories and about 30 from five SAARC nations are expected to participate in the five-day festival
Competition would be held in 18 varieties at seven venues set up in the city while platforms had been set in five school grounds for exhibiting/performing talents by the participants in the non-competitive events.
The last NYF was held in Udaipur in Rajasthan last year.
