EFT Report, London: English football governing body, the FA has overturned the red card shown to Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany by referee Mike Dean during the Citizens’ 2-0 win over Arsenal FC at the Emirates on Jan. 13, 2013.
A 3-man FA commission ruled in favor of Kompany and the Belgium international will be available for City’s games against Fulham and QPR in the Premier League and the FA Cup fourth-round tie.
This is a welcome relief for Roberto Mancini as Manchester City are very fragile at the defense right now with Kolo Toure away on Africa Cup of Nations duty and both Maicon and Micah Richards out injured.
