Gujarati Rabindra Sangeet at Bard's 150th Anniversary

Artistes from Bengal and Gujarat headed by Himanshuray Raval Haqeer would jointly compose ten popular songs of Rabindra sangeet in Gujarati version to commemorate the Bard's 150th birth anniversary.

The project has been supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (WZCC, Udaipur) under the Tagore Commemoration Grant Scheme in this 150-birth anniversary year of Rabindranath Tagore.

The first phase of recording will be taken up on January 9 and 10 at Disha Studio in Ahmedabad, where well-known reputed singers, based at Ahmedabad, will record six songs.

In the second phase, famous playback singer Indrani Sen will record four songs in Kolkata on January 25.
