Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival Kicks off

The 20th edition of Margazhi concert ‘Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival 2012’ kicks off in Bangalore on January 7, 2012. The concert, which has been organized to honor the legendary violinist V Lakshminarayana, will take place across seven cities including Chennai on Jan. 9, Ahmedabad on Jan. 11, Mumbai on Jan. 13, Pune on Jan. 14, Trivandrum on Jan. 15 and Kotlam on Jan. 16.

In its 20th year, the event will feature world musicians Solo Cissokho (kora), Miya Masaokha (koto), Dhafer Youssef (oud), Kavita Krishnamurthi Subramaniam, Narayana (vocalist), L Subramaniam’s daughter Bindu and son Ambi.
