Mumbai's Only International Literature Fest Kicks off Today

The 2011 Literature Live, Mumbai’s only international literature festival will be held from November 3 to 6 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai.

From, they will release books, hold discussions and participate in musical book readings at the second annual edition of Mumbai’s only international literature festival, the Tata Literature Live Mumbai Litfest.

Well-known speakers and writers, both international and domestic, such as — Shashi Tharoor, Vikram Seth, William Darlymple, Thomas Friedman and British poet Neil Astley — have been invited. Literature will be represented in four verticals: fiction, non-fiction, poetry and plays.

The Literature Live! Mumbai Lit Fest will also give India's leading publishers an opportunity to showcase their latest releases. Several books are lined to be launched, also book signings are scheduled. Authors and writers will speak about their new works and interact with readers informally.
