Detroit Auto Show Witnessed Highest Turnout Since 2005

More than 800,000 people attended this year's Detroit auto show, which closed on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012. The attendance at the nine-day North American International Auto Show 2012 in Detroit, Michigan, United States was the highest total attendance since 2005, according to sources.

Including non-public days, more than 800,000 people attended this year's Detroit auto show. Attendance on Jan. 14 topped 92,000, the biggest opening day crowd in five years.

This year's Detroit auto show featured more than 500 vehicles from 54 manufacturers, including dozens of worldwide premiers and about 165 exhibits.
