Delhi to Set up Technical University for Women Soon

The Delhi government will set up a technical university exclusively for women in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

"To focus on participation of women engineers in nation-building and encouraging technical education among women, Women's Technical University will be set up in the capital," Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said.

The existing Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, which comes under the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, will be upgraded to form the university.
