Hyderabad to Host International Children’s Film Fest From Nov. 14–20

The 17th International Children’s Film Festival will be held in Hyderabad from November 14 to November 20, 2011. The function will be held at Rock Heights, Shilparamam on the occasion of Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday.

Around 170 films from 40 countries, including Indian films like Stanley ka Dabba, I am Kalam and Chillar Party, will be screened at several centers at Prasad's Multiplex, ECIL, LB Nagar, Miyapur, Bahadurpura, Dilsukhnagar and RTC X Roads in Hyderabad.

The film festival is organized by Andhra Pradesh Film, Television and Theater Development Corporation (APFTVTDC) and Children’s Film Festival of India and FDC.

"At least 10 children per district, mostly underprivileged, will be invited to attend the festival,” said Nandita Das, actor and chairperson, Children’s Film Society, India.
