The third edition of the annual Contemporary Choreographers’ Collective (COCO) Dance Festival is going to be held at the Little Carib Theatre on November 10-13, 2011, at 7 pm. The theater is located at the corner of Robert and White Streets in Woodbrook, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.
This year the festival is organized around the concept of “Projections.” The festival began as the intention on the part of four choreographers—Dave Williams, Sonja Dumas, Nancy Herrera and Nicole Wesley—to create a cooperative platform for their work and the work of other choreographers working in contemporary, experimental and post-modern styles. This year they will be joined by Heather Henderson Gordon, Anika Marcelle, Bridgette Wilson, and visual/performance artist Michelle Isava, among others.
Tickets cost $100 and are available from participating choreographers and at the Little Carib Theatre box office during the week of the show. Discounts are available at each show for tertiary-level students with valid identification.
