The Abu Dhabi Film Festival opened on October 13, 2011 with the critically acclaimed Canada's Oscar Entry 'Monsieur Lazhar' by Philippe Falardeau.
The Festival will run till October 22. It will screen 200 movies from 43 countries, culled from a flood of 3000 entries.
Abu Dhabi Film Fest will mark the 150th birth anniversary of Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. It will also screen Satyajit Ray’s black-and-white masterpiece, Charulata (The Lonely Wife).
