Pearl 2012 at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus From Feb. 16–19

Pearl 2012, the annual cultural festival of Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) will be held at its Pilani – Hyderabad Campus from Feb. 16–19, 2012.

Pearl 2012 promises to be bigger and better than its previous editions. From the theme, World 1–2, which is essentially 8 bit and 16 bit games, to amazing events that span every cultural genre, it promises you 72 hours of non-stop fun and activity.

Thurisaz, a Belgian metal band is all set to enthrall Hyderabad during Pearl 2012 as part of the international act for the first time in India. For the Bollywood night, Benny Dayal and troupe will perform.

Started off in 2010 as a city-wide cultural festival, it was a huge hit amongst the college students in Hyderabad. Pearl 2011 witnessed the Swedish melodic death metal band, Dark Tranquility, who performed live in India for the first time. The festival, apart from a set of amazing events, also included performances by the Pakistani band Strings, and a classical night by Anil Srinivasan, Sikkil Gurucharan and AR Rahman’s flutist, Navin Iyer.
