Salman Rushdie to Visit Delhi on Jan. 24 to Promote 'Midnight's Children'

EFT Report, New Delhi: Controversial British-Indian novelist Salman Rushdie will be visiting books and music retail store Landmark at a south Delhi mall on Jan. 24, 2013 to promote Deepa Mehta's film ‘Midnight's Children’ which is based on his Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name.

‘It's a great feeling to be visiting Landmark and talking about my book, 'Midnight's Children', which has been made into a movie by my friend Deepa Mehta’, the 65-year-old author said in a statement.

Rushdie is also expected to visit other Indian cities too but his schedules are not disclosed due to security issues.

Deepa Mehta’s ‘Midnight's Children’ will hit theaters across India on February 1.
