Release of SaMaPa Calendar 2013 & Classical Fusion Concert by Sopori on Jan. 16

Report by Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: On Wednesday January 16, 2013, SaMaPa (Sopori Academy of Music and Performing Arts) is releasing Calendar of 2013, featuring prominent young musicians of the country, at 6.30 pm at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Center, New Delhi.

With these photographs, SaMaPa has attempted to create an ambience of classical moods. The calendar release will be followed by a Classical Fusion Concert by Santoor Maestro and Music Composer Abhay Rustum Sopori.

The function features the magic of 100 strings of the soothing Santoor of the Sufi tradition with a Classical Fusion concert by the renowned Santoor Maestro & Music Composer Abhay Rustum Sopori presenting a beautiful blend of authentic Hindustani classical music with Western, Latin & Contemporary thought while maintaining the essence of different music genres.

The event will be followed by Classical Fusion Concert by Abhay Rustum Sopori Santoor player & Music Composer. Expected Guests are Sh. Ghulam Nabi Azad & Smt. Shameem Azad, Sh. Suresh Goel (DG – ICCR), Pt. Rajan-Sajan Misra, Pt.
