EFT Report, Melbourne: 2011 runner-up China’s Li Na thrashed Russian world number two Maria Sharapova 6-2, 6-2 in 1 hour 33 minutes on January 24, 2013 to reach her second Australian Open’s women final.
The 30-year-old Chinese will meet the winner of the second semi-final match between world number one and defending champion Victoria Azarenka of Belarus and American 19-year-old Sloane Stephens, who defeated Serena Williams in the Quarters.
Li Na is the first tennis player from China to win a singles Grand Slam, wining the 2011 French Open title.
