Dilip Kumar’s 90th Birthday Celebrated in Pakistan

The 90th birthday of Indian legendary actor and popularly know as "institution of acting" Dilip Kumar will be celebrated on Dec. 11, 2012 in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where he was born before he migrated to India. The Cultural Heritage Council (CHC) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will mark the occasion in Peshawar.

The CHC has invited prominent personalities including film personalities, journalists, lawyers, peaceniks and commoners to celebrate the birthday of Dilip Kumar a.k.a. Mohammed Yusuf Khan.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration recently planned to acquire the ancestral home of Dilip Kumar and preserve it as national heritage monument. Locals have urged the authorities to rename certain parts of Peshawar after Dilip Kumar.
