Mancini’s City Go Down 3-1 to Ajax; On Brink of Champions League Exit

The Champions League Group D match played between Manchester City and Ajax FC at Amsterdam Arena on October 25 is another classic example of ‘Money can’t buy Trophy’ as the super-rich/star-studded English champions were comprehensively beaten 3-1 by the Dutch side.

Roberto Mancini's men are now staring at another early Champions League exit at the group stage after this defeat. Samir Nasri scored for the Citizens’ while Siem de Jong, Niklas Moisander and Christian Eriksen found the net for the Dutch champs.

Manchester City are now at the bottom of Group D with just a single point from three matches.
