Soundgarden to Release New Album on Nov. 13

American alternative rock band Soundgarden are all set to release their sixth studio album and first in over 16 years, on November 13, 2012 titled ‘King Animal.’ The album’s first single, "Been Away Too Long," will be available by Sept. 27.

This will be the band’s first studio effort since 1996′s Down on the Upside. The two-time Grammy Awards winning band lead by the charismatic frontman Chris Cornell has sold over 10.5 million records in US and over 22.5 million worldwide. Since disbanding in 1997, band members have work on various projects and other bands. Soundgarden reunited in 2010.

The band’s current line-up: Chris Cornell (Vocal/Guitar), Kim Thayil (Lead Guitarist), Matt Cameron (Drum) and Ben Shepherd (Bass).
