Golf: Europe Retains Ryder Cup

Europe made an amazing comeback to retain the Ryder Cup beating the US 14.5-13.5 on September 30, 2012.

Down 10-6 going into the final day, Europe made the biggest last day comeback in the Cup’s history by winning 8.5 points from the head-to-head contests. No away team had ever come back from four points down to win the Ryder Cup.

Europe has won seven of the last nine matches and has not lost in Europe since 1993. The 2014 contest will be held at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perth & Kinross, Scotland.
