Former West Indian cricketer Brian ‘Charles’ Lara, who holds the record for the highest individual score in a test innings (400 no-out), will be inducted into the ICC's Hall of Fame during its annual awards in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Sept 15, 2012.
The 43-year-old cricketing legend retired from all-form of cricket in 2007 after amassing 11,953 runs from 131 Tests and 10,405 from 299 ODIs.
Lara, regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time, is the only batsman to have ever scored a hundred, a double century, a triple century, a quadruple century and a quintuple century in first class games career.
