Ek Tha Tiger Earns Rs 210-Crore; Set to Break ‘3 Idiots’ Record

In less than a fortnight, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ has earned 210 crores. It has already surpassed Salman’s previous hits ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Bodyguard.’ They had earned 147 and 148 crores respectively. The movie is expected to bypass the 300 cr earning of the movie ‘3 Idiots.’

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had also tweeted the same, “#EkThaTiger 12-day total of *approx* Rs 175 cr nett is from India alone. #EkThaTiger India + Overseas combined biz *after 2nd Weekend* is Rs 210 cr +. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER…” It is also close to 3idiots, as Taran further tweeted, India Rankings TOP 3:- No 1 - #3Idiots 202 cr nett), No 2 - #EkThaTiger (175 cr nett, still counting), No 3 - #Bodyguard (148 cr nett).”

Salman has emerged as the man with the Midas touch. His movies have earned more than 750 crores in the last 3 years. Though most of his movies are released during Eid, they cater to people across all communities.

Salman Khan’s next film ‘Dabangg 2’ directed by his brother Arbaaz Khan will hit the screens on December 21, 2012. He also plays lead role in his brother Sohail Khan’s film ‘Sher Khan,’ which will be released next year during Eid.
