Real Madrid Wins 32nd La Liga Title

Coach Jose Mourinho becomes the first man to win league titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain after Real Madrid defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0 with goals from Gonzalo Higuaín, Mesut Özil and Cristiano Ronaldo at Estadio San Mamés, Bilbao, Spain on May 3, 2012.

Los Blancos’ last won the Primera Division title in 2008. The win kept Madrid seven points ahead of Barcelona with only two games to go.

Real have lost only twice in the league and scored a Liga record of 115 goals, conceding only 30. Cristiano Ronaldo has 44 La Liga goals, Higuain 22 goals and Karim Benzema 20 goals this season.

Apart from wining league titles in four different countries Jose Mourinho, commonly known as ‘The Special One,’ has won the UEFA Champions League twice, with FC Porto (2004) and Inter Milan (2010).
