Prominent poets, actors, directors, singers and scriptwriters along with finest budding talent, will flock to Chandigarh to talk about their respective fields at city's first-ever Literature Festival. The three-day Chandigarh Literature Festival (CLF) will kick off to the beats of Baisakhi dhol on April 13, 2012 at Government Art Museum, Sector 10, Chandigarh, Punjab.
An Endeavour of Adab Foundation, CLF strives to open the doors for writers, poets, performers, singers and musicians, and attempts to widen horizons for discerning readers, listeners and audiences.
On the inaugural day, a glowing tribute will be paid to the region by honoring acclaimed Punjabi poet Surjit Pattar.
The literary extravaganza will see participation, among others, of Sanjay Chauhan who is the scriptwriter of Paan Singh Tomar and will talk about the trend of ‘realism in scriptwriting for films.’
TV Journalist Ravish Kumar will talk about the trend of micro fiction. Acclaimed theatre and film actor Piyush Mishra and Chandigarh’s Neelam Man Singh will discuss music in theatre. Also present will be Lalit Kumar, originator of Kavita Kosh, the portal which is a treasure trove of poetry and shayari in different Indian languages.
