Birla Foundation Confers Bihari Awards to Rathi, Charan in Jaipur

Noted poets and critics Giridhar Rathi and Arjun Deo Charan honoured with the KK Birla Foundation's prestigious Bihari Award for outstanding work published in Hindi or Rajasthani by a Rajasthani author.

Rathi bagged award for the year 2010 on his poetry collection 'Anta Ke Sanshaya' (Doubts About Finality), Charan won the award for year 2011 on his poetry collection 'Ghar to Ek Naam hen Bharose Rau'(House Is The Symbol of Identity)'.

Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Deependra Singh Shekhawat presented the awards-that carry cash prize of Rs One lakh, memento and citation-to the awardees at a graceful ceremony at the Bhagwat Singh Mehta Auditorium in the Officers Training School (OTS) on April 29, 2012.
