The first Spices Park for processing of seed spices like cumin, coriander and fennel, will be commissioned on April 7 at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, by Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma.
The Spices Board has completed the construction of the Park with a total investment of Rs 27 crore.
The park is set up over 60 acres of land provided by the state government in Rampura Bhatia village in Jodhpur, the Park has common infrastructure and processing facilities for seed spices, especially for Cumin and Coriander that are widely grown in the state.
The machineries in the Park are also capable of processing other seed spices like fennel and fenugreek, which are quite ample in this region.
