Indian Film Festival in Abu Dhabi From April 19-21

A three-day Indian Film Festival will be held in Abu Dhabi on April 19-21, 2012. The event is organized by the Embassy of India (Cultural Wing), in association with Indian Film Society of United Arab Emirates (IFSUAE).

The festival will also include seminars, lectures and dialogue with filmmakers. Through this festival, IFSUAE intends to facilitate education in the public in the knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the art of Indian classic and contemporary films.

Films such as 'Elippathayam', 'Kanasemba Kudureyaneri', 'Moner Manush' and 'Umbartha' will be screened during the festival, which will also screen Arabic and Indian short films from UAE filmmakers and movies made by Indian expatriate filmmakers.

IFSUAE is a non-profit member supported group of enthusiastic film lovers supported by the Cultural Wing of Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi. The festival will be inaugurated by India's Ambassador to the UAE MK Lokesh.
