A new Western Illinois film festival is garnering international attention, and organizers hope it serves as a springboard for future years. The Cornfed Film Fest is scheduled to run from April 13–15, 2012 in Macomb.
It’s accepting submissions from students and budding directors through March 12. Festival co-founder Sue Scott says the heart of west-central Illinois, with no nearby interstate access, is the perfect location for a film festival.
Scott says the festival has so far received local contest submissions, films from around the country and even from England.
