First Central Asia Cultural Fest in Qatar From March 23–28

Katara Cultural Village in Qatar will be hosting the first Central Asia Cultural Festival from March 23 and the festival will run through March 28, 2012. The opening ceremony will begin with a photographic exhibition, followed by a traditional fashion show at Katara Art Centre, Building 5 in Doha, Qatar at 5.30 pm.

The six-day event offers a variety of performances from dance groups to opera arias. With participating teams from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Republic of Tuva (a province of the Russian Republic-Siberia), the festival will features a variety of activities from opera singers to violin, fashion shows, and ballet dancing.

Each country will bring a piece of its culture and tradition to Doha through music and dance, all of which will be performed by some of the most renowned artists in Central Asia.
