US Cinematographers to Honor Actor Harrison Ford on Feb. 12

American actor Harrison Ford will be honored for his career at the upcoming American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) gala.

The 69-year-old will receive the coveted Board of Governors award at the 26th Annual ASC Outstanding Achievement awards in Hollywood on Feb. 12, 2012.

The prestigious honor recognizes movie stars and directors who advance the art and craft of filmmaking.

Previous recipients include Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, as well as screen stars Julia Roberts, Warren Beatty and Sally Field.
