Myanmar is geared up to build two new international airports and is reportedly asking for investment from Singapore and Japan.
The two new airports would be Hanthawaddy international airport in central Bago region and Dawei international airport at Dawei sea-port in southern Tanintharyi region.
Of the two planned airports, the existing Dawei domestic airport will be upgraded to international level within three years at a cost of $4 million.
Myanmar has three international airports and 29 regional airports as of now.
