Kerala: National Seminar on One Health Initiative Kicks off

A two-day national seminar on 'One Health Initiatives in addressing Food Safety Challenges' kicks off in Thrissur, Kerala from February 16, 2012.

The seminar is being organized under the joint auspices of the Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health, Kerala Veterinary and Animal University and Kerala State Veterinary Council, Organizing secretary, Dr C Latha said.

About 250 scientists from different parts of the country are expected to attend the seminar.

Eminent persons like Dr Gyanendra N Gongal, Scientist, Disease Surveillance and Epidemiology, WHO, will present papers.

The 'One Health concept' is a worldwide strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and communications in all aspects of health care, she said.
