Hi-Bird Launches Rs 1.5 Lakh Rickshaw for European, US Markets

Ludhiana based Hi-Bird Group has developed a high-end rickshaw, priced between Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, for the European and the US markets.

The super luxury rickshaw will be priced between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh and available only for export market of Europe and USA and aims to sell about 500 units in the next fiscal.

The 21-speed rickshaw, developed in the Ludhiana factory, is completely aluminium-based compared to traditional iron and steel based ones prevalent in the Indian market.

The company has also announced that it will also launch rickshaws for the Indian market that will be rolled out on Feb. 24, 2012 priced at Rs 25,000-30,000.
