Pune Film Festival Kicks off; Iranian Actress as Film Jury

The 10th edition of Pune International Film Festival kicked off on Jan. 12, 2012 in Pune. The festival will run through Jan. 19. Organized by Pune Film Foundation, the fest will screen films and animations from different countries.

Iranian actress Laleh Eskandari has been invited to serve on the jury of the film festival. She has appeared in nine movies and three television series. Eskandari will be joined by Nadia Tass (Australia), Heinz Badewitz (Germany), Lorenzo Codelli (Italy), Borys Lankosz (US), Ranjith Kumar (India), Girish Kasarwali (India) and Moshidi Motshegwa (South Africa).

Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi's award-sweeper drama Nader and Simin: A Separation will also participate in the festival's Feature Film Competition section.
