Kochi to Hold All India Opthamological Society Conference From Feb. 2-6

The four-day national conference of the All India Opthamological Society (AIOS) will be held in Kochi, Kerala from February 2, 2012. More than 6000 delegates, not only from India but also from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt and other countries, are expected to participate in the conference that will conclude on Feb. 6.

During the event, delegates will deliberate on recent innovations in Opthalmology including laser assisted cataract surgery, modern methods of treatment of comeal blindness and other developments in the field.

Special scientific sessions will deliberate on methods to reduce global incidence of visually impaired and also methods to tackle visual impairment in children.
