Chennai’s Tirupati Temple Opened for Darshan Till Jan. 1 Midnight

As part of the New Year celebrations, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) in Chennai will open the SV Prayer Hall at the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple for darshan from 2 am on January 1, 2012.

The prayer hall will be opened for ‘Srivari Darshan’ for general public from 2 am. The entire premise of the temple has been decorated with flowers, fruits and electrical illumination.

Due to the heavy crowd that is expected, the TTD requested devotees not to offer flowers or coconuts and to have only the “darshan” of the lord.

People can have darshan till midnight of January 1.
