British singer, musician and songwriter George Michael has cancelled the remaining dates of his 2011 tour as he battles pneumonia.
The "Faith" hitmaker, 48, was hospitalized in Vienna, Austria on Nov. 23 and was diagnosed with the potentially deadly lung infection.
He scrapped a string of European shows on his Symphonica tour to allow him time to fight the illness, but on Nov. 25, his representative announced that all of Michael's live commitments had been put on hold for the rest of the year.
The Symphonica tour was due to make stops in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and London, and in Glasgow, Scotland throughout November and December this year. The dates are expected to be rescheduled.
George Michael was the biggest British pop star of the 1980s.
